Use of opting Bar
In the options bar, there are the following options
1. Add a new selection
2. Add to a selection
3. Subtract from a selection
4. Select an area intersected by other selections
Before making the selection if we want to soften the edges of a selection we will have to specify a feathering setting in the options bare before we make the selection . We can turn anti-aliasing on or off for the rounded rectangle or elliptical marquee.
In the tool option bare we have also got style option for the rectangle. Rounded rectangle, or elliptical marquee.
1. Normal: to determine marquee proportions by drugging
2. Constrained Aspect Ratio: to setting a height and width. Enter values for the aspect ration.
3. Fixed Size: to specify set values for the marquee’s or document bounds by checking up the option of View > Snap To > Guides.
Lasso Tool
The lasso and polygonal lasso tool help in drawing both straight-edged and freehand segments of a selection border. With the magnetic lasso tool in Photoshop. The border snaps to the edges of defined areas in the image.
We can use the lasso tool to make selections that require both freehand and straight lines.
