creating new image

we can work on image in Photoshop bye creating new images, scanning image and importing existing images, the new command lets us create a blank image. Creating a new image involves five key decisions. Image name image width height, image resolution image Mode and image contents.

To create a new image
1. To be the image dimensions and resolution on the clipboard contents select file >new. If the clipboard does not contain image date the imge dimensions and resolution are based on the last image we created.
2. 2. If desired, type a name for the image, and se the width and height. We can select a file size from the ready presets available in preset size drop-down menu. To match the width and height of the new image to the of any open image select a filename from the bottom selection of the windows menu.
3. set the resolution and mode. Set the pixel rate to 8 bits or 16 bits.
4. select an option for the contents of the background layer or fist layer of image
5. under advanced, select a color profile, or select a color profile, or select don’t color manage this document.
6. for pixel aspect ratio, select square
7. After filling all the relevant fields.. e can save the settings by clicking save reset bottom
8. Click ok.
